Website Content Submission Process

www.straymondschool.org

St. Raymond School welcomes suggestions and submissions for new content on the school website.   However it should be understood that this site is primarily designed to be an outbound resource to the general public to communicate our mission, learning expectations, policies, goals and achievements.    The primary internal communication tool and resource for our parent and student community continues to be Renweb.  It can be accessed from the St. Raymond School website.

All materials should be ready for publication prior to submission in accordance with the submission procedures and styling requirements detailed below.

Submission and Review Procedure

To submit new materials for the website:

∙          Email the Website Content Administrator (see the school directory for contact information), or

∙          Provide the materials on media such as CD of DVD to the Website Content Administrator (via the school office)

The following procedure will be enforced for new material submissions:

∙          The Website Content Administrator collects all new materials.

∙          The Principal will approve or reject the submission.

∙          The Webmaster will publish the new content on the website.

Submission Style, Content, & Attachments

In order to ensure consistency in the look and feel of the website, all submissions must conform to the following content guidelines:

Font

Times New Roman is the default font.

12 Pt. is the default font size.

There are no restrictions on color, italics, etc.

For compatibility purposes, modifications will be made as needed.  We reserve the right to change appearance.

Content & Attachments

Word – Most regular Word documents work well.  Really complicated formatting may have to be converted to show properly on web site.  The Webmaster will make that determination.

PDF – Is acceptable, however many web browsers will download the file rather than allow viewing on the web page.

Pictures – JPEG format clearly labeled and reduced in size to accommodate slower connections.  Names of any students in photographs must be provided with the submittal.  All photo submissions containing students will be checked against school records for parental consent for publication. No student names will be posted with photographs. Animated pictures or pictures with videos are allowed as long as we have parent permission.

Movies - At this time we are not uploading streaming video or links to video-hosting sites.
