From the Principal
Dear Friends and Families of St. Raymond School,
Faculty, staff, students, parents are geared up for a fabulous 2009-2010 school year. Along with the Class of 2018 (now kindergartners) we welcome several new families and many continuing students and families. The school has a bit of a new look, thanks to the Mission Effectiveness Committee. The beautiful lettering on either end of the building underscores the Catholic identity of the school. In addition, the original wooden sign has had a major facelift and now it’s ready for the school’s twenty-fifth anniversary in 2011!
I am happy to report that our parish-community school was granted a six year term by both the Western Catholic Educational Association and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. The Visiting Team affirmed the areas of strength noted in our self-study. Likewise, they made several recommendations for improvement. Most importantly, they endorsed our action plans for strengthening the school’s resource program and developing a curriculum-based service learning program. We have already started work in these areas. Success in these areas of school life assists our students as they achieve the St. Raymond School Student Learning Expectations.
Thank you for the many ways you assist us in making our school mission a reality.
Blessings to all of you,
Madeleine de la Fontaine Principal
