Saint Raymond School Application Process
Thank you for your interest in St. Raymond School. In our application packet you will find the following information about our school and the application process. Please request a packet from Mrs. Cramer at 925-574-7420. (scramer@csdo.org), which contains the following:

Read over all pertinent information and make note of due dates.
The deadline for returning applications and information is Friday, February 19, 2010. Applications will not be considered until all the information is in the office.

Kindergarten Age Requirement:
To be admitted into kindergarten at St. Raymond School, a child must be five (5) years of age on or before September 1 of the current year (2010). To be admitted to the first grade, a child must be at least six (6) years of age on or before September 1 of the current school year (2010).
Where a child has been legally enrolled in another school she/he may be admitted to the school and placed in a lower grade as age appropriate at the discretion of the admitting school.
If a child applying for grade one has been previously screened at St. Raymond School for entrance into kindergarten and found not to be ready for St. Raymond Kindergarten she/he will be accepted for placement in St. Raymond School Kindergarten. Exceptions to this policy will be reviewed on an individual basis only after completing an “end of year” kindergarten assessment and meeting the age requirement for entry into first grade.
Admission Requirements
- minimum age requirement for kindergarten and/or grade one
- successful completion of grade level assessment
- report card from current school (applicants for gr. 1-8)
- principal phone call to current school prior to admission (applicants for gr. 1-8)
- recommendation/evaluation from current school
- interview with principal, parents, and grade level teacher as advisable (applicants for gr. 1-8)
- prospective student interview with grade level teacher
St. Raymond School Open House will be held on Sunday, January 31, 2010 from 1:00-2:30pm. Visit our Science Fair, Book Fair, open classrooms, school tours and applications available. St. Raymond School Visiting Day is Monday, February 1, 2009 from 9:00am – 10:15am. Prospective parents are invited to tour the school, visit the classrooms, and chat with the principal. Please call in advance to let us know you are coming (925-574-7420). No children please.
